'Tis the Season

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose.
Everyone, it's December! The most wonderful time of the year. My happiness levels are higher this month than any other month, mainly because Christmas is my favorite. The holiday season itself is about celebration, joyfulness, thanksgiving, and family. I go all out for Christmas, from 25 days of Christmas on ABC Family to decorating my room to adorning myself with tacky Christmas sweaters. You can basically say that I am a Christmas freak.  I started decorating my house for the season, bringing down the 9 foot artificial tree and fluffing out all of the branches. The whole time, I was singing Christmas carols in my head (not aloud-I didn't want to break any windows). I was able to watch Elf on ABC Family with my sisters on Saturday night, wearing my tacky sweater and Christmas cheer. No worries, I would not go out on errands in the sweater. However, it still puts a smile on my face. The relaxed and joyful feeling I had throughout the day was simply a reminder of how much I have to be grateful for this holiday season. We must recognize the true meaning of Christmas and embrace each other with Christmas cheer. And smiles. Because smiling is my favorite.

xoxo
