Stress With a Side of Insanity

"Find meaning in your suffering."
When I first heard this from a teacher of mine, my reaction was the typical "you're crazy, I just want to be stressed, not have to find stuff, too." But there is meaning.
Um, what.
Ok, so you have a big project due, or a test, or basically any deadline. You are freaking out. But then, when it is all said and done, you are relieved. You have time to clear your head and think. What did you learn? Maybe you shouldn't procrastinate or invest in dark circles concealer or drink more caffeine. Or maybe late nights are not the best beauty secret. These all seem such little of things, but how hard is it to do such? With our crazy busy lives, we are missing the lessons the stress teaches us. If we see these lessons, maybe the stress wouldn't be so, well, stressful. We can see the beauty in it. Maybe not at that time, but later on in the day. Or week. Or year. We will see it eventually. But who isn't thankful for lessons? They make us better people. So, I guess I can now say that I am blessed for the stress (sorry for the corny joke, couldn't help it). Be grateful, love kindly, and have a wonderful, stress-free weekend.

xoxo
