Jetsetter

My dear friends, I have not seen my bed in many, many days. For the past two weeks I have been out and about, from beaches to the city of brotherly love to the home of the infamous cowboys.
The beach, as any beach would be, was a lovely get away filled with family, sun tans/burns, and fun. A heliophiliac's dream, it was bright and warm for our beach days.
Philadelphia was great, as usual. Since I go every year to see family, there was nothing new to do, but seeing my family and shopping is never something to grow old.
Dallas was a new experience, but not for its typical reasons. This was the first time I traveled by myself to meet with family in order to college tour. I have been to the city many times before, but this was an eye-opening experience of responsibility, patience, and awareness.
Now that I have finished my traveling for the summer, I can finally relax. It's great to relax!

Cory Montieth

I'm completely, one hundred percent devastated by the death of one of my three celebrity crushes, Cory Montieth. My Finn has tragically died last night of a hypothesized drug overdose. To a beautiful man, rest in peace.

Osaka No Saka

You know what's sad? Good byes. I don't care if you'll see them again soon, having people leave is never fun. I went to our final sushi date as she prepares to go away for college in the following weeks ahead. I guess growing up isn't all that it is cracked up to be. It's leaving the people you love the most to find yourself in a place to grow. It's like we're all dandelions, and once it's time for us to go, we're blown away to another place, by ourselves, expected to grow yet another plant. This will be a long year ahead of me if I keep being all sentimental.

Sudden

I guess the best way to describe life is short. Many people could say the complete opposite, but here's why I think it's short: anything can happen at any moment and life can change forever. For better or worse, life can change in a blink of an eye. I'm sure we have all heard of these lame cliches, but these lame cliches have the universal truth that cherishing every moment and recognizing the goodness in our struggles is an essential to surviving life's briefness. We can make the most out of every situation or see the down right awfulness of it all- we must be prepared for change. So...how do we prepare? I guess we must place ourselves in every sort of situation and know a proper way to respond. Of course, there's always the unexpected, but even so, the unexpected could be expected. We just have to act like it was expected (fake it to make it). Let's grab our battle gear and prepare ourselves to fight life's short life.

Things To Do, People To See

What a busy week that has concluded! From seeing The Heat with old friends to Despicable Me 2 with a fantastic friend, my movie life has been high on the rise. Let me give you the low down on the two funniest movies of the summer:
1) The Heat- two of my all-time favorite actresses played in this movie. Overall, I loved it. The story line, material, action, and, of course, humor made me feel so happy inside. My only drawback would be the foul language. However, it went with the character development.
Rate: 9/10
2) Despicable Me 2-seriously adorable. I would highly recommend this for all ages. The classic humor and lovely plot make everything about this movie work. Kristen Wiig makes a great addition to the cast, and Steve Carrell is fantastic as usual. A great follow up to the first movie.
Rate: 9.5/10

Sadly, I didn't get a pic from my best friend, Suze. Either way, she and I had a great time with each other as always!

I also love catching up with friends I hadn't seen in a while. One of my very best friends and I finally got together after the craziness of June to sit down and catch up. Here's what I love about best friends: it doesn't matter how many you have, how long you've known them, or how much time has passed since you've seen them. The most genuine, greatest, loveliest best friends are the ones that will always be there when you want and need them, respect and love will always remain, they will be loyal and honest, and nothing ever changes between you two, even if you haven't seen each other in a while. All of these things were present when I met up with my friend, Liz, and I tell you what- it was exactly what I needed.

I'm so grateful for my best friends, and I hope you are, too! To best friends, cheers!
